The Bedale is made of waxed cotton in 6oz quality (Sylkoil) and was first launched in 1980 on the market. Characteristic elements such as a 2-way zipper with snap closure, two large bellows pockets and two Moleskin-lined slash pockets and the cord collar give the jacket an unmistakable look. Characteristic for the Bedale Jacket are the slightly shorter cut and the rib knit cuffs in the sleeve ends. Even today, the waxed cotton jacket is manufactured at the company's own production facility in South Shields, northeastern England.
