Renaissance Noble Dress
Florentine Renaissance dress with embroidery
The beginning of the Renaissance inaugurated a new prodigious and fabulous era. The mode in these times was considerably determined by the fine arts and culture being at the height.
Here is an early Renaissance clothing. Splendor and pompous trim and details are joined smoothly within a garb with the silhouette both elegant and naive.
Corresponding to the original design of the end of the XV century, such Renaissance clothes were known as "gamurra" and appertained to what is called the Florentine fashion.
Normally this dress had been worn over the corset and chemise, which you can buy separately in our online store.
Renaissance costumes were typically made of rich, luxurious fabrics such as silk, velvet, and brocade, and were often adorned with intricate embroidery and lace. The silhouette of the dress was characterized by a fitted bodice and a full, voluminous skirt, which was often enhanced with many layers of voluminous pleats.
Overall, this dress is a typical example of the Renaissance costume, it was a symbol of wealth and status and was often worn by noblewomen of the court. It was a garment that exuded elegance and status and is still celebrated today for its timeless beauty and exquisite craftsmanship.
The skirt consists of 8 or 10 gores according to your measurements. It takes 13-16 yards of fabric to produce this renaissance clothing with the skirt hem more than 11 yards. The pattern of the trim with pomegranates has been worked out exclusively for this line of dresses by our designer. There is an embroidery with artificial pearls and silvery braids at the sleeves and at the bodice, which are also lined with viscose. Three velvet laces attach sleeves to this renaissance clothing while buttons on the wrists fit sleeves. With the openings on the bodice, you can see the shirt. There is a lacing on the front of the dress.
Such Renaissance clothes require a rather precise fit, so please be careful while taking your measurements. The dress can be worn with or without a corset though the corset will definitely increase the authenticity and emphasis of the outline. However, you should be ready to pay for the beauty and historical authority with the necessity to keep a moral backbone continuously.
